Natural gas keeps Australia running. It’s one of Australia’s main sources of generating electricity. It keeps the lights on by supporting renewables to power our homes. Gas also produces fewer emissions when combusted for energy generation in terms of greenhouse gas than coal, contributing to a cleaner energy future.

Gas also supplies over 40% of the energy¹  used by Australian manufacturers to produce products like medical supplies, fertiliser and bricks. It even puts the bubbles in your beer.
